Top ten modeling agencies
Author: NinaThousands upon thousands of hopeful girls every year are duped into thinking that modelling agencies are going to sign up if they attend events which cost hundreds of pounds or dollars.
The girls as young as 13 are dreaming of fame and fortune, told they have potential, and if they hand over ‘just’ $900 (or so) to go to a weekend event, they would get to meet dozens of representatives from the most prestigious modelling agencies in the world, like Ford Models, Elite Models or Wilhelmina Models. The thought o
f being on the cover of Vogue, Elle, Cosmo or even Heat is enough to part with the cash, right??
Of course, the girls are very rarely signed, but are ‘snapped up’ by pushy agents. Heartbroken by the thought of not being signed, their dreams crushed, the agents offer a so called last chance at the dream, encouraging the girls to take classes for walking and posing, at around £250 a go, as if this will actually help their chances of becoming a top model. As well as charging them £250 for a photo shoot and £100 for business cards to be made up. While it all seems very professional, it is really a serious money making scam.
